Hello gentlemen well I picked up another mining? locomotive builders plate with an unknown history hopefully the experts here can shine some light on its history It is marked General Electric Electric Locomotive Type LME-2T6-C5 Serial number #11228 April 1930 In excellent shape considering it was probably in a harsh work environment

Minefan,

Not sure if you ever did get a response. It is a 6 ton mine engine from Rochester and Pittsburgh Coal company. While we are on the subject does anyone have the Jeffrey builders records or the early pages of the GE Moser records? Pre serial 10000. Also looking for Ironton manufacturing, Greensburg and Manchua. I am willing to purchase.

Bob

We have been very busy lately.

We do have the following to answer your question + many others:

 Greensburg builders list but not in list form
 Jeffrey
 Mancha & Goodman
 G.E. (I will have to check to see)

We would be glad to help you with any questions but do not make copies of our builders list. It was an agreement we had once we aquired the builders list as an act of preservation of mining equipment from the former manufactures. I do hope you understand.

The Ironton list, that one has never been found but we are still searching. That company has been out of business for a long time period built thousands of mine locomotives from the research we have conducted. We have most different models of locomotives from catalogs posted on our site www.ohiovintagecoal.com

You can PM here or email us off our site with any questions.

Thanks,
Pete, Ohio Vintage Coal Co.

Bob were you still looking for any Jeffrey info ? The GE info is correct that you provioded. I have a feeling the unit still exists that the mentioned GE plate still exists.
