well here she is all prettied up and ready for shipment back to the rails! all it needs is the chain to hold the door from dumping all over the place when its filled with coal. that i have to fabricate one part for, probably this week. then we can take it home as soon as this snow goes away and we can drive in the yard again!

Very good job. Just needs to sit out in the rain, snow, ice, and sun to get a little color to it. Very nice... I also love the hook for holding the dangling chain - on the front of the mine car.

Yeah, from the photos, the flat car looks old.. looks like it could have been outside for a while. Adds character as this stuff is generally old... It might not be a bad idea to put preservative on the cars once they age and weather enough.
