yea, in this photo: http://www.ironminers.com/mineforum/vie ... php?t=2396 you can see theres only a few houses. oh well, as for the center stone, they probably just smashed it with the other stuff. if there isnt someone right there to save something, they destroy it. believe me, i watched it first hand as i got at the scrap yard 1 hour late to watch the mine cars i was supposed to get get cut up and put in a big truck. they were all painted, save do not scrap. well they did anyways. i managed to salvage one of them. plus in demoing a building i really dont know how they could have saved that.

Chris, that makes me think of how many things they simply tossed around Shamokin, and for that matter the whole Coal Region. Makes ya kinda sad and upset about it.

ya someone tore down the p.r. powerstation fence, the one that fed power staright down into 34, the only thing left is the headframe, maybe you should cut that down and store it.(the headframe)
