 Post subject: Brooks Mine, Scranton Mine Tour (Historic)

the brooks mine was never a commercial operation but large deposits of anthracite remain inside. the 150 foot long drift mine was built in 1902 as a model mine by reese brooks when coal was king as a heating fuel. it is an example of how scranton became the anthracite capitol of the world from the 1850s to early 1900s.

There really aren't too many options:

I will vote on the mine motor. Looks much like one lettered "Pompey Coal", I've seen pictures of.
