My father was cleaning the other day and found these, he forgot he had them. They are the W2 from my grandfather. After WWII, he worked very briefly with his brother Alex at DG Nicholas (Alex retired from there in the early 80's!!!) and then at the Marvine breaker until he had to retired (when the breaker collapsed). I have almost every year, these are only a few I picked. Notice in 1960 there are two, Scranton and Wilke-Barre. He must have worked there for some reason. Which breaker would that might have been?

Interesting!

$2,863.52 in 1949 = $26,224.67 in 2010

$4,290.68 in 1960 = $31,595.20 in 2010

Pretty neat! It's amazing that your grandfather and then father saved those all these years. Pretty neat, thanks for posting them up!

Two week pay from my grandfather when he worked at the Storrs colliery as a carpenter ( or helper as they called him to pay lower wages)
