Everyone check out the video on the AMD depth gauge. All miners have one they are just afraid to use it for mining.

NICE! I remember being the depth gauge once...... but it wasn't on purpose. The problem with mine was it took a 2 man team to get me out!

yea i guess the ohio boys didnt have muck to worry about. banksey ol boy was going down fast! it took all mike and i had to pull him out. and some quick thinking throwing some boards in the water to stand on the muck so we werent numbers 2 and 3. felt bad sacraficing the coal chute though but if we didnt banks would still be there. and its not like theres not 50 chutes in there.

I keep my depth gauge dry, I only use it if there is some really & I mean really cool stuff in the mine. That is one of the main reasons why we send Mike in first. Did I mention only if there is really cool stuff in the mine.
