Hi guys,

I got this sweet Koehler lamp on eBay--it was advertised as "working", and I want to fire her up and see what she can do---but I don't know how to get the thing opened. A friend told me that I need a magnet to do it? It's a number "209", I believe--that's what is stamped on the top. Can anyone help me out here? Yes, I've searched and read all the relevant topics here on this site, and even seen the breakdown pic, but I'm still unclear as to what to do to fuel it and then start it. I don't know much about it, but I'd rather learn, to be safer than I would be without it, you know?

There is a magnetic lock below the two buttons in the second photo. A small magnet placed there should release the lock. The base will then screw off.

There is a fill port near the wick. There is a lighter flint in the striker that most likely will need replaced.
