I got a chance to stop by Minersville yesterday & check out the progress of CNJ 113. It is currently under restoration & is the last remaining anthracite-burning locomotive,

They preformed the hydrostatic test this past spring (to be in compliance with FRA regulations) & will undergo initial steam tests sometime during the fall….
The project has been going on for almost 20 years. Since they're in no hurry & only volunteers are doing the work, I would expect them to have it running in the next year or two.

It will be the only operating CNJ steam locomotive in the world!!!

Very nice.. I see it is an ALCO, looks like a 0-6-0.. Any more info on this engine? Looks pretty neat..
