That reminds me, yoos MUST be in Klingerstown Halloween Saturday. I'm celebrating my new trucking gig, as well as MY birthday. I hope it's not near as good as Randy's was tho...

"Now for something completely different!"

country music, eeesh, guess we dont need to start that debate. but i will say that if a big bomb was dropped on the cma's one year we wouldnt loose much talent.

by the way did you know if you play a country song backwards you get your wife back, your truck back, all your stuff back and your dog miraculously comes back to life

No, there are no country music fans here. None at all. And no one wants to go to see that guy, what's his name?

Gwar and Lamb of God, however, are playing at Tag's in Big Flats if anyone wants to go see that!

Actually Shana, I'm just bustin'. I was nice and did a few Country shows with Amy this summer since she's always going to the blood-lettings with me. I saw the Oakridge Boys (they were awesome!), Charlie Daniels (also an awesome show, can't mess with the best!), and Lee Greenwood. Lee was great too, dead on vocally. Just don't know what kind of guy he is if he had like 8 wives. It's not just the tourin' that does that. But he did write our next National Anthem. I really enjoyed all those shows.

But ya, comin' up on the 24th (after the Moscow run out of Scranton), GWAR ! Tag's, Big Flats NY (near Elmira).

I remember GWAR from years ago.
And I would like to see Charlie Daniels once before I die...

And yes, I used to listen to all the underground German metal bands.
Guess I grew out of it.
;)

Ooooh, Ouch! Well, I don't want to grow up anyway. I still play with trains.

I was mislead. The concert is in the First Arena in Elmira, not at Tags. And yes, you MUST see Charlie Daniels. He was at the Harford (PA) Fair this year. He's been a staple at the NYS State Fair but hasn't been there is several years now. Amy is a huge fan, and actually distantly related, so if she tells me he's going to be at Mohegan, Pocono or something I'll let you know.

Very cool!
BTW, I didn't mean anything by that comment other than the fact that I'm old.
:D

Oh. Well don't feel too old because you've got a long way to go to make that claim! I'm right behind you at 37.

I am not into "commercial" country music but I do like its roots and enjoy bluegrass very much! There is a certain raw sincere quality that I like about the genre that quickly gets lost in overproduction.
