THAT IS AN AWESOME VIDEO !!!!!!!!! Was this a recent excursion ? Since being away from the rail scene for a long while, I dont get the news on excursions. Any more planned. ? Going south on the D&H is a rare treat !!!! I only rode that line once. Back in 1983 (?) Guilford had just taken over the D&H , and I rode the pushers to Carey Av in Wilkes Barre to push PYRP to ClarksSummit. I was only 13, and that was 27 years ago. Id love to do it again. And was that the 7300's powering the excursion ? GREAT POST !! :D :D

The excursion was held in conjunction with the NRHS Convention in Scranton.

I caught it in Riverside near Danville.

miket145 is correct. It was part of the 2010 NRHS event. Notice of the event and tickets were only given to NRHS members, not the general public. I shot the clip as we were returning home. Ashley and I were on coach car #580. The trip was as I expected it to be... many miles of tree-lined Susquehanna River. It was a "once in a life time" trip as the last passenger service on that line was over 50 years ago. I went for two reasons... the bridge and to propose.
