most likely. they are building an industrial park up there. not sure what the final version will be once everything is built up. who knows this may be a grate in the middle of a parking lot.

yes, theres alot of equipment still left inside some of these old mines. in most cases the mine just shut down one day without any kind of warning. the mine owner just came in and said, dont come to work tomorrow we are shutting down. pretty bad for the workers, but this left a bunch of items still in old mines. heres some examples from our site:

I have another unsubstantiated theory about this. I think that it might've been be the case - especially in some western mines - that when the mine was shut down, it was not intended to be a permanent closure but just for a few years until the value of the commodity improved. Much of the equipment was left in place to allow them to get a jump on the work when mining resumed. But then either the price(s) of the commodities never improved or other factors came into play and the mine was never reopened.

If you look at the photos of the three gated mines with tracks on page two, those mines do not appear to have been permanently closed. But then later on, the closures probably became permanent. Too bad, in a way.

In the wake of seeing a piece of these shots Im inquisitive When a mine like these was surrendered and reduce off riggings inside, for instance, readies ,mine vehicles and gear peacefully get left inside ? Or on the other hand obviously is it a matter of the charge of clearing versus the estimation of such gear?
