OK, when they're ready to ship I'll have everyone PM me their addresses who wants some. I'm thinking of getting both at the same time. I'm getting 100 of each, and he can print more any time we want more.

We'll see what materials are available for printing, but the UGM ones most probably will be. I'm thinking most caps are black so if we get white refective undergroundminers.com set across a red UGM, with the lettering all being separated (no sticker, independant letters rubbed on off of a backing like you would apply a decal) that would be t*ts. I've asked him to see if he can put an american and chinese flag on the other, so that may end up being on a rectangular background.

OK, a few hours later here. It looks like the reflective stuff might be too thick for his cutter, he's looking for thinner stuff but it may not happen.

Yellow and black it is then. Yellow was my first choice too, but I'm thinking of the folks who may have a yellow cap.

Burret, Banks, burret. I have the first prototype artwork. It's a go! Will try and get it up here somehow.

OK, so a link to it anyway. Maybe a smaller fire? It's as flamin' as Banks right now.

Suggestion for what it's worth. Have them cut around the image and not square. They will fit on a helmet smoother.

It's gonna be vinyl graphics, like when you letter a vehicle, so it will conform to just about anything.

Doug, won't that work? He doesn't have the machines to make regular stickers, just a vinyl cutter. No good?

I've had a cutter of 12 years. I would not make a two-color sticker that small. Way too labor intensive and not very durable in a mine environment.

My suggestion would be to start with a white reflective material and print the black over top. Then maybe a clear layer over top.

I don't have the equipment to do the printing or I'd jump in. The two stickers I've done took calling in some favors. And I still owe Newt a set.

Just gonna be yellow. I'll see if he is capable of that. I doubt it though.

just chatted with him. He cannot clear coat them.

OK, so Doug has an educated point, he made stickers. The ones am getting are single color yellow, no backing, and each individual letter and piece will stick to the helmet itself. My experience with decals is they will peel off if individually impacted, but have yet to have any problems on my train cars which have very small decals on them as well and are indoor outdoor. But that's on painted wood, not poly helmets. yes they can be damaged. Question is, do we get them anyway or scratch the idea? I'm getting one.
