I read an obituary in the Scranton Times today of a John Angeli of Old Forge, died October 10 at 92. It said he had been employed by the Knox Coal Mine. I was just wondering he was retired when the disaster happened, active miner, or lucky not at work that day. Does anyone (Carl) have a list of the workers from that dark day in our history?

Carl does have something up. www.oldforgecoalmine.com for his site. He said he was one of a five-man search team that went into Knox looking for the bodies of the miners after the water was pumped out. He was the last living member of the search team.
