Unless there is faded lettering on the mine motors I don't believe that there was any lettering visible in any of the photos. It'll be a month, maybe more, before these photos get copied.

Yeah these are some pretty sweet pictures. Interesting, but the garage that was built in the entranceway into this slope, it is actually NOT underground. They used the side walls of the entrance and put a wooden roof on top. So the garage is actually before the slope. Maybe the ceiling wasn't high enough?

Pretty cool also seeing those mine locomotives which were just resting on the tracks. The old tipple is kind of neat too.

you are correct, the opening to the mine is on the back (far) wall from the door.

Took a look at the pictures more closely. Check out the trolley locomotive pole, they must have had the spring tension set really high in order to bend that pole. The other trolley locomotive has a piece of rail hooked up to it :?: but it also has a cable reel. Chris we would have to say if those were up for grabs look out those were unique.

the rail hooked to it im thinking were to keep them from rolling down the grade. they are all ge's the battery one is identical to the one in the anthracite musuem. however that one came from carbondale. i didnt even notice the bent pole, thats something!
