Live Steam Big Boy under construction
Image
Replica Olds Speeder (full size)

My display for NMIH

Miniature operating steam power plant that generated DC power to run an N scale train!

See through gas engine. You could actually watch the explosions take place inside the cylinder!

3D printer. This thing was built by a 13 year old and prints out parts in plastic. He was making something that looked like a bottle cap:

Yes, it is an annual event. It starts on a Friday with a huge auction and then features a show on Saturday and Sunday.

Yeah, that's pretty wild. I love the miniature steam engine construction, like the Big Boy. That'd be a fun project..

It was great to see you at the show Eric. Sorry I didn't have more time to talk. For those who missed it, here is the mining related highlight of the show (to say nothing of the trains, boats, engines, etc):

Banks,

You may want to reconsider that idea. I think you and I would have the same problem. We'd see to many things we wanted to build.

Neat for sure! But too many ideas and too little time and funds.

Don't worry Doug. They have a solution. There is an auction on Friday, the day before the show starts, so you go there, sell something, then spend the earnings over the weekend.

Mike,

You don't understand.... I have far more need for new toys that I can find things to sell.

About the time you first posted this, I was thinking about how the guy @ Dragline World built his little toys.
