beware of the drones.....

flying the quad copter around the apartment. let jen wear the FPV (first person view) goggles. for those that dont know, the machine transmits live feed to the screens in the goggles so you can fly it like youre sitting in it. however for this flight i let the wife watch as i flew it. perfect landing included at no extra charge........

oh well in that case.... haha..... its a DJI phantom with a gopro hero 2 slung under it hooked up to some rigged up telemetry and video transmitting devices. a ground receiver with wide field and directional antennas for the video and audio and a set of first person view goggles. also, can be wired into a laptop to fly using the screen on that, or an Ipad instead of the goggles. its way cool to fly it first person. almost too much fun that one person should be allowed to have..... 8)

What is the flight time that you can get on a single charge? or does it take fuel?

its electric. flies about 6 minutes on the battery we have now. the one battery powers all 4 motors on the machine, and the camera downlink hardware. the camera has its own battery and runs a long time. could use a bigger onein the machine, it could easily carry the weight. has about a 4-1 power to weight ratio as equipped now.
