Im really gonna miss this truck! i bought it brand spankin new from the dealer in 2003. had 4 miles on it. we've been on many adventures together, raise your glass tonight to the death of yellow. 193,000 miles, blown trans, frame cracked in 5 places, front dif leaking like a screen door, wont go in 4wd any more. shes done. she definitly led an abused life, but thats ok i had a blast! good news is my dad is building up a 95 wrangler with a 4" lift that im putting these tires on.

What happened to cause all the damage that you are talking about?

yea, almost all of the off road pictures are totally developed now. the first photo is at the site of the dolph colliery mine fire. there is a 200 ft trench now where the truck is sitting in that pic! some others are part of the "new" industrial park near jessup and archbald. used to be some good off roading in those parts on the old mining roads and rail beds.

10 years of beating it as an off road truck.

Well, it had a good life. I can see that you took care of it from the pictures.

Hard to believe how long ago this was. Even the derrick is gone now. The Dodge is still around, and should be back next week, better than ever.

In the last picture, is that a hoist to bring the coal out of the shaft?

I think it is a stone quarry. Maybe slate.

I can see that the rail is large for a mine. It looks to be about the size of rail that a class 1 would use on a branch.

It was a derrick from a slate quarry that was operated by aerial cableways. Knowing the history of the operation, I would speculate that they salvaged the heavier rail from a nearby DL&W branch.

Here's some more truck pics.
