We only took our side of the pile plus the switch parts :)

Glad you appreciate the work. I'm hoping to load and unload the truck in one day. I like your unloading idea

woah, an ambitious one! why not spike some down when you get done unloading it! no use wasting time!

i was over my dads tonight and we were laughing about how we drove all the way out to that slate quarry, pulled it all out of the ground, cut it up and took it to factoryville. now, youre taking it all the way back to only a few miles from where it came from

I should build panel track in the truck while we drive down :)

It is funny, but in the big scheme of things, that rail probably would have been bulldozed and scrapped if you hadn't rescued it.

Forgot to mention it earlier, but this afternoon I spotted a Bethlehem rail in the batch. It predated the steel company, being marked BICO for Bethlehem Iron Company.

What does the RRRRR stand for. Does the unloading idea include driving backwards and slamming on the brakes?

RRRR RR stands for Ray Ray's Really Rad Rail Road. It was named by Chris in honor of Industrial Rail Ray, who discovered the line's first locomotive and thus instigated the construction of the railroad to run it on.

Yes, your idea for unloading is exactly what Chris proposed.

Is this the line that was the home of the restored battery loco?

This is a new line that features two 24 inch gauge battery locomotive plus the leftovers of a home built battery locomotive and a "contraption" or two. Here's a shot of the first locomotive, #2. Ray had the honor of putting it in this position.

Yes, the previous set up was home to the restored motor. The yellow motor is an Atlas. Ray can talk more about it.

is this going to be a loop? you could make it a 1:1 scale inglenook siding plan! (maybe a 3 car -3 car-5 car)
