I guess I'll let Miner CT Mike tell the whole story, but it's a 63 Corvette Grand Sport.. Basically I was driving through the town of Carlisle, with some Corvette parts in the back of my truck. I'm driving then my wife and I see a Corvette in the back of a pickup truck at a gas station.. I'm thinking to myself, "hmm, that's interesting..." Then my wife says, "Ohh look, that's Connecticut Mike!". So I had to stop and take some pictures..

Ouray. Just like it says under the picture. A miner's memorial with a lot of names on the plinth off to the right.

Well, here is my photo of the week. Just got it from the developing place. I'm in the engineer's seat, and my dad is looking off the tender deck. This is the loco I am interested in restoring, and I had my senior pictures taken on.

She is a Soo Line H-22 Class Pacific, and the last one of her class. She was built by ALCO Schenectady works in 1914 for the Wisconsin Central. At one point, she held the North American record for the longest continuous run of a steam locomotive at that time. It was from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, where she is currently, to Winnipeg, Manitoba, 800 miles. The loco was retired in 1955, and donated to my city. She currently sits in Lakeside Park.
