(...continued) The ore was shipped via a spur of the Hibernia Mine Railroad. However, the mine was worked only sporatically and by 1930, was again abandoned.
In 1953, the Beach Glen Mine was resurrected for its final run. Now collapsed, the adit was no longer used and the trackage extending from the Main Hoisting Incline was affixed to a newly constructed tipple. The Main Hoisting Incline accessed three working levels. The railroad was abandoned and torn up by this time and the ore was transported from the tipple by truck. The mine was finally closed for good in 1956.
In 1989, the still mostly preserved mine was largely destroyed save for the tipple. The Main Hoisting Incline was capped with concrete and then backfilled. The tipple remained standing upright until 2003. Archeological remains on site include the body of an ore car as well as the ruins of the production facilities and wash house.
