Located just southwest of the large Sunk Mine, the Sackett Mine worked the same belt of ore, spanning a length of seven miles. Here, the orebody was offset by a transverse fault by a distance of 50 to 75 feet. The mine was owned and operated along by the Philadelphia and Reading Coal and Iron Company.

The workings consist of an open cut that follows the strike and underground workings. An inclined shaft was also sunk 75 feet in depth into the orebody spanning 4 to 5 feet in width. The extent of underground development is unknown and the shaft is entirely flooded, preventing inspection. The Sackett Mine ceased operations by 1880.
