The ore was transported for a time via narrow gauge track to a spur of the Sterling Mountain Railway. The ore was then shipped to the magnetic concentrating mill at the nearby Lake Mine. In 1923, the mine was permanently abandoned.

Archeological evidence on site suggests the prior existence of a magnetic concentrating mill. However, no information has surfaced on whether it was put to use or ever completed. The concrete headframe was still intact as of 2011.
