(...continued) By 1926, the mine was owned by the Swastika Silver & Copper Company along with the Black Warrior and consolidated as a single entity. This company produced a total of 1,000,000 ounces of silver. The ore also contained some lead which was shipped out of state. The mine’s peak production occurred before 1940 but produced as late as 1976. After this time the mine was worked on a very small scale. In 2008, the Silver Prince Mine was sold to a new owner as far as is known is still active.
The mine was developed by several adits at different elevations up the mountain and also included a shaft. From the adits, an elaborate network of tunnels connected with stopes and the mine was worked from multiple levels. The ore from both veins trended north and dipped 60° west, was highly limonitic and surrounded by schist country rock.
