Earlier today a narrow (33.5 inch) gauge side dump car was moved to the Phillipsburg Railroad Historians in Phillipsburg, NJ. The car was retrieved and donated by the Dally Slate Company of Pen Argyl, PA. A predecessor firm, the Stephens Jackson Slate Company, once used the car to move sand to its structural slate and blackboard mill. The car was built by Easton Car & Construction Co. of Easton, PA, across the Delaware River from the car’s new home in Phillipsburg, NJ.

nice mike. glad someone got that cute little side dumper. i remember that when it was sitting there derailed by that building. maybe one day next week ill meet you up there to look around before we pick up that rail.
