Exploring an upper drift...
This drift is bottomed as it enters the massive limestone stope. Notice the outline of a drift in the celing. A suspension bridge was built to allow for the dumping of waste rock.
Another entrance into the mine illustrates the colossal size of the workings. If one looks carefully, a walled off drift can be seen.
