Wow, with that rabid reporting headline I thought someone had stacked up at least 140 cars into a heap 100 yards long.
And all we get are 3 half tipped over. Lucky for that resident shelia the RR doesn't fix the tracks or they'll be going 50 through her neighbourhood haha!
People are so dumbed down everywhere thesedays, happens here too, I'm ashamed to say!

Alive and Well....for now

Looks like a minor event to me. Just need a couple of cranes to right the cars and a few guys to replace the track, and the train should be on the way. I don't understand what the big deal is. A few weeks ago at the Canadian National yard, a locomotive and four cars were put on the ground, and two of the cars went on their sides, when one of the rails they were on rolled over, in the yard. There was no mention of it in the paper. I know about it because my dad and I were watching them switch at the time. It's a flat switching yard, and they were in the process of kicking the the string of cars when the rail turned on its side. I wish that I had a camera with me, as it was fun to watch them pick up the cars. The front axle of the lead locomotive (An ex-Wisconsin Central LTD, I think it was an MP15) went on the ground, so it didn't take them long to rerail that. When we left, they were in the process of righting an empty boxcar that was on it's side.

this was a load of 'jedda' coal... i was with mike a when he got the text. haha...
