looking for some info on the bear valley mine and how to get to them and if there are any bootleg mines there

If that's West of RT 125, then something is wrong if you walk for 20 minutes and don't find something. I would like to explore that area again but I'm not done up here! :)

Last time I was there exploring was maybe 1997ish.

On the left right before the Whaleback there is a path that will take you up to the side of the Whaleback. About 20 yards in cut toward the hill on the right and there will be a capped mine entrance... That's about all I can think of off the top of my head. There are a lot more though.
