Miner Detienne Ignace - Cecil, Washington County, PA

Hi everybody,

First of all I would like to apologize for my English, I'm from Belgium and my native language is French. The reason why I'm contacting you is the following. My grand-grand-grand parent Ignace Detienne came over to the USA in 1893 leaving his wife and children in Belgium without telling them where is was going to. By the way, I have been able to find his trace and now I know he has been a miner in PA. He died in 1910 in the city of Cecil. I would like to know where it would be possible for me to find further information about him.

I don't know if I'm on the correct place to ask this kind of question but I thought maybe you could help me.

you may want to try ancestry.com

There will be a fee to join and do research, but the site is relatively good at ancestral content.

This could help, it lists three mines in Cecil and mentions many miners came from Belgium
