Hello. Don't remember how I got here, but I really enjoy the site.

Second gen Mining Engineer, 4th gen working in coal.

I've worked at five different coal mines in Illinois (four with same company) and one in Alabama. I also did a short stint as an Environmental Engineer at a large surface gold mine in the middle of Nevada.

Saw lots of cool stuff our west, here in Illinois, not so much. I haven't given up hope though. I now live near the historic Fluorite district. There isn't much left but I'm hoping to check a few places out.
