Announcing IronMiners 2.0!

I am proud to announce the launch of our new website, IronMiners 2.0! After six years online, the time has finally come for IronMiners first BIG update. The new site has been rebuilt from the ground up and features a brand new “old” interface, updated slideshows, updated mine histories, an exhaustive list of mine tours, and some hidden gems for self-discovery. Feel free to poke around and let us know what you think.

Is there a way to change the black to silver like the old version? This colour change munts my eyesight.

Chris (Kiwi#1), what is it specifically that is now black that was previously silver?

If anyone has any other suggestions, feel free to share.

Mike,
the whole page is black/grey...on the old format there was a page colour setting change button with another option, black or silver. This new format with the black with white type gives my eyes the heeby jeebies.... and this reply box is dark grey type on light grey background.

PS I think the Carbide lamps for post icons are really great.

Well I found the colour change (prosilver/sub iron)but it changed the page format/layout and poof, all the pretty carbide lamps disappeared...bah, compooters!

The original themes are still defined to the site, but we changed the "default" theme to the one we wrote. Was this what you did on the old forum Kiwi? I am assuming you went back to an old theme to get the 'no so pretty original colors back' on the old forum?

Thanks everyone for the feedback so far. We are opened to make any changes or suggestions anyone has. There are still a few minor things we need to fix, but for the most part things are working pretty good.

Yes Greg, it was more of a bare bones version of what this was like before your upgrades. Originally when I joined in was White text on Black background and after switching to "silver" it still had all the headlamp icons showing new posts. The bare bones "silver" version of this new look doesn't so I'm sticking with the black for now. I'm at that eyesight deterioration stage of life.
