Hi folks,
For two years i have been planning in my head to visit the site of the old Bristol Copper Mine in Connecticut. Most of the property is fenced and the property is in deplorable shape. Most of the workings were bulldozed and sealed long ago.
There is still an adit leaking water and a few dumps and other relics of past mining if you look carefully. What I had a question about was this. Off site about twenty yards, dumped in the woods, was this large quarried marker with the letter B. Does anyone think that this may be related to the mining operation? A discarded property marker perhaps? There was another marker also but not as old as the one my friend is hanging onto. Be interested in what y'all have to say.
