So, mining isn't the ONLY thing we're all into..... how about some photos / stories from other projects! I know a few of us have them coming along....(er um Chris...Doug...Brian)
Heres what I call fun in the backyard!
1946 Farmall M
Quick story of the M
I liked antique tractors for years - my neighbors always had a bunch of old John Deeres around, and I got the bug. I liked the old farmalls, so I started looking around in the spring for an H. I made several trips and followed several leads (right Bella??) on Hs and started debating between an H and an M (next bigger model Farmall). I ended up finding an M on Ebay for a steal and bought it.............. So whats the big deal you ask??
It was in Tennessee.
Road Trip! I borrowed a trailer from a friend and my brother, gf and I blasted off that Sunday headed for Shelbyville, TN. We spent a week, all of our money and had a Blast! We stopped along the way at anything that looked interesting (caves, plantations, rail yards). We picked up the tractor on Monday, and for the next almost week we drove around exploring TN and North Carolina.. Spending most of our time in and around the Smokey Mtn National Park. Hell, even driving over / through the mtns and along the blueridge parkway with about 4 tons on the back.
Anyway, I ended up with a nice Farmall M, one heck of a trip, and memories i'll never forget.
Heres some quick photos snapped by Nicole along the road....
First time on 'er!

When I got her home I had to do some carb work, and I cleaned and sealed the gas tank. This week its getting some fluids changed... Hopefully I'll get some work outa the ol' girl this spring.
And..ummm... btw, Doug.... Crops and green... tractors are RED.
